GAVIN ROSSDALE turned to rock `n' roll after a knee injury wrecked a promising professional soccer career.
Gwen Stefani's husband, who starred in 2005 soccer movie The Game Of Their Lives, was once handed a trial at top London team Chelsea.
But his sporting dreams were never realised because of a knee injury.
Rossdale went on to find fame as the frontman of Bush, but is still a huge soccer fan, and hopes his son Kingston, who celebrates his second birthday next month (May08), will take up the sport.
